A Huge Thank You to Caroline

Caroline is the daughter of one of our members and she chose to support Vision North Somerset by running the London Marathon. She completed the run successfully and has raised £1,748.75 in sponsorship!

The photo on the left shows Caroline (left) standing next to her daughter (right) after completing her run. The image on the left shows how she raised £1,460 via online donations and £288.75 via Gift Aid through Local Giving.

A great effort on a really hot day. We really appreciate Caroline’s support. Thank you Caroline!

The Santander Foundation Gives Us a £5K Boost!

A £5000 boost to our voluntary activities was given to us by the Santander Foundation.

We are exceedingly grateful for the local support from this large organisation, which enables us to offer one-to-one volunteer IT tuition to our visually impaired members.

Clevedon Bowling Club Donate £2,500!

We are grateful to our friends at Clevedon Bowling Club who donated an amazing £2,500 to support local blind and partially sighted people.

The funds became available due to the closure of the club and we are sorry to see such a good facility come to an end.

Marks and Spencer Raise £2,511!

During the year, staff at Marks and Spencer have organised a whole range of fund raising activities to support Vision North Somerset as their charity of the year. They have raised a fantastic £2,511 and we are really grateful for their efforts.

This funding means we can support isolated people with sight loss to join our social clubs and participate in their community.
